Wow, a lot of new names around here, but I still see some familiar ones.

Coming up on my four year anniversary of non-productivity. Wow, I can't believe it has been that long since I have been in the shop. But as they say, life happens.

All is good here, daughter is doing good, and I have no complaints. Just thought I would drop in and say hey, and wish you all the best of luck during this rotten economy.

Sean! Very nice to hear from you. I am glad to hear you and daughter are doing well.
Life does have a way of going as it will, and not as we'll have it, doesn't it? When it's appropriate, you'll get back in the shop.
Take care of yourself. Stop in occasionally.

Sean, glad to hear from you. Really gald your daughter and you are doing well. You know Trackrock (in Blairsville GA) is having a Hammerin at the end of this month :D

Hi Sean, long time, no see. Its good to see ya here again.
Why no productivity?
Its nice to hear your daughter is doing well.

Sean! Great to see you here!
Rotten economy? What rotten economy. You need to come down to Texas, pal.

Thanks for the replies, guys.

Well, I don't have much of an excuse for no productivity. I still have all my equipment, just haven't used it to produce a knife. Part of the issue was turning a hobby into a job and trying to make a go at it when I was unemployed back in 2004. Kind of tainted it for me.

Knock on wood, I am still gainfully employed (after another 6 month stint of not working). But it is rough up here in Michigan, so I am thankful for having a great job right now. You all might remember me talking about a program called SolidWorks and being able to "make" Damascus with it. Well, I now work for that company, and it is phenomenal.

Yes my daughter is doing great, and we are in full swing of her competition dance season. Plus a few months ago she entered and won her first modeling competition. I am telling you, that girl is something else.

And Michael, no, the knife is not sharp yet. It is in my display case next to some of my "first offs." It is funny, because anyone who looks at the case always wants to buy that knife. I love telling them no. :D

One of these days, I will get back into the shop. Then I will have to relearn everything that I thought I would never forget. I wish I would have kept notes. :(

And here is Little Miss Sunburst 2008. And all you dirty old men out there, take it easy, she is only 11.
