Hi

I took a break from sheathmaking and finished the handle for this knife, I call it a "Chef's Bowie" :)

San Mai damascus from 1070 and1010 with a 52100 core.
8" blade, 13" overall, 4mm thick (5/32")
Handle in damascus, palo santo and black and white acetate.

hey that part of the handle is sweet as hell... i'm guessing its what you said is white acetate? very cool :)

Sweet!!!!!!! Tell me more about the acetate, Please!!!

I have only made one Chef's Knife per the customer's design. Boy was that a challenge.... He was very exact, but so was his sketches which helped when I was forging to shape.....

I use his sketch on my website as an example, come to find out he was a designer engineer or something like that who drew buildings and blueprints.
