I've been wanting to make myself a knife for a while and I finally did it. I thought about the design a lot and came up with this one. This will be a one of a kind piece. This is the first time in years that I've made a knife just for myself so I wanted it to be special. It's unique from my normal work because it has a scotchbrite finish instead of hand rubbed. It also has a straight bevel edge instead of convex. I'm really happy with it.. I will take this one to the CA Bushbash in a few weeks and all my planned outings this summer. The blade is 4 7/8", O1 steel, G10 scales. I'm still thinking about the sheath:). Thanks for looking!

I think you made a great choice finally getting a Laconico, Ray :D Looks awesome as all your knives do

Nicely done Ray! She's a beauty!

It looks to retain a nice poking point but still having plenty of belly. I like the way the cutting edge cants back to gain space too.

As you mention it; is there any particular reason you have gone with a straight bevel edge over a convex?

Looks fantastic! That handle looks great. I also like the sleeker look of the blade with the pointier tip. Thanks for sharing.

About time you got one of your own knives. How much did you pay for it? :D

Looks sweet

That looks great Ray!

I love the blade shape; tons of utility in a straight spine like that!

Are you thinking Kydex or leather for that beauty?

that looks really nice.

i think the orange was a perfect choice, it should be easy to find if you happen to drop it.
