I disagree Ray . I reckon the thinner gaurd looks way better, gives the whole deal a sleeker appearance. The thick gaurd on the damascus bowie just looks way, way wrong to me.

I agree. It almost looks like a war hammer with a big blade on top of it. Yours looks perfect just the way you made it, IMO.

Yeah, the guard on the damascus one looks too thick. I was thinking about the Henry bowies that I've been looking at lately. His bowies have a thicker guard than what I have but not too thick.

i like the handle. it's simplicity somehow catchy. agree with bruce, the guard is good as it is. wish you make more knives with wood material. owh, and more slipjoints
