Very very nice work. Thats a nice piece of wood on their and helps keep the flow of the blade.

Thanks, it is a great piece of wood! Chalk up another one for Mike at WSSI, he's got good stuff and is great to work with!

I received this knife yesterday and I must say I am very happy with the fit and finish on this knife. The black ash handles set the highly polished blade off nicely. The knife balances right on the forefinger and feels very lively in the hand. The blade polish is outstanding...makes one want to avoid smudges and the like. I really like the sheath...it is built along the lines of a rustic style. Overall, this knife and sheath reminds me of the ones I had 50 years ago. I would highly recommend "Stag and Steel" be considered when searching for a custom knife.

Thanks Lanza, that's just what a knifemaker loves to hear! I have just finished a brother to it, only with stabilized Juniper burl that I will be showing soon.

Showed my new knife to some "old timer" neighbors last night. They were truly amazed at the workmanship on this knife. I almost had to wrestle one old timer to get it back.

Jim,
Really nice package! I really like the blade/guard/handle transition! The guard fits that style really well, being rounded on the front and back, and its large enough to really protect your fingers. I really like this knife.

Lanza, you just tell those oldtimers where you got that knife and it only takes money and they could have their own.

barrabas74 and Todd Robbins, thanks for the comments!

God Bless!
