just finished file-grinding my first knife!

Would love to know everybody thinks. the steel is 01 and the stock is 7/64. overall length is about 7 inches. Now on to finishing!

Yeah, I debated with myself for a while about the pin-holes, but I figured I would go with what I had on hand which is 1/4" brass. Thank you for the compliment.

Managed to do it without a jig, though I was wishing I had one. I completed the job in about 10 hours on and off, but man were my wrists and fingers hurtin! Glad to have built some muscle memory. I can't imagine doing anything thicker than 1/8" That would be a heck of a job

Looks pretty nice for a first knife... Using a file is allot of elbow grease....

This is why every one should start on hand tools before power tools. =) nice job..... i am sure a lot of character was built

That being said i started on power tools...... lol =)
