• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Just finished this one...

Hi all,
Haven't posted anything for awhile, and I just finished this one today, so I thought I'd post this. :)
This is actually the first knife I made from 5160, over a year ago. I didn't like the handle it had, plus i wanted to redo the heat treat. (I had used a torch the first time) I ended up changing pretty much everything. It was single edged before, and had a wood handle. I just got some turquoise micarta, and wanted to try it out.
The blade has a scotchbrite satin finish.
Guard, spacers and pin are nickel silver.
I wish I had a "before" picture. Oh well.

Thank you David! The double grind was a pain, but not as much as I'd expected. :) This is my first non symmetrical double edged blade.

Thanks guys!
I kind of like the turquoise also. I first saw it on a Brend knife, and liked it then. :)

Thank you sir! :) The pictures are terrible, though. Not for long! I just got a better camera...

Phil,
I should have said this the first time these pics went around, but I personally would like to see a thong of some nature (brass?) instead of just the hole. Just my opinion and if you want you can tell me to go piss up a rope!:D

P.S. Glad to hear you finally got that camera! Maybe now you'll get some more knives out! You've been slacking!:p

I drilled the hole thinking I would add some tubing, but I thought, why? If this was full tang, especially carbon steel, I would definitely use the tubing, to prevent rust in there.
I might still add it though. Thanks for your input. :D
Slacking!!!??? I just sold a knife last friday! So what if it was the first one in months... :D :D :D
I'll be listing this one as soon as I get my rear in gear and take some photos I'm happy with.
