Not really my type of knife but the design caught my eye and I thought it would be a fun project. It's my first real attempt at a hamon and it turned out halfway decent I think.

Black Linen Micarta
Titanium pins

I know my file work on the spine is lacking. I bought myself a set of diamond needle files and made myself a file guide to improve spacing. I suspect my next file job will be much better (I hope).

That is a unique design that kind of grows on you. Very nicely done, I love a good hamon. It will be interesting to see how you develop. Thank you for sharing.

Makes me think of a small, bellied cleaver. May I ask what the V notch is for, is it sharpened?

It's not sharpened. It was originally supposed to be smaller but I had a boo boo cleaning it up and had to make it a little larger than intended.
