All of these knives have made major contributions to the cutlery industry in the last 25 years and are iconic enough in their own right to be recognized by the severely cropped pics provided.

No prize, just for fun, most of you old timers know these so to add another level of difficulty name at least one of the contributions each knife made? (Some made more than others)

The beretta airweight ( I think ) was my father's edc for many years I finally bought him a stainless steel spyderco dragonfly to replace it.

I used to carry a Samson KISS for a few years, and it was the first frame lock knife I ever owned. It was my go-to gift for a while, and a lot of non-knife people ended up needing band-aids as they learned how to use them.

There's only one Spyderco and it's the credit card model. That's a little short sighted. Unless your omitting features introduced 30+ years ago.

1 AG Russel One Hander: one-piece handle, original thumbstud knife?
2 Delta Z, forget model name or why special, maybe an annoying proprietary pivot?
3 BM mini-AFCK: maybe first licensed use of spydie hole?
4 Spydercard: first flat knife?
5 Boyd: first production use of cast dendritic steel
6 Beretta Avenger : first production use of Warren Thomas' CF laminate to metal edge blade concept:
7 ??? no clue
8 CRKT Carson: first production flipper?
9 ???: I think that's a wire-frame knife where the blade slides forward rather than pivots out to the side?
10 CRKT KISS: first single-side-handle folder
11 Beretta Airweight: first cut-outs in blade?
12 might be an old William Henry, the first really high-end production liner-lock knives?
[Man I need to get a life]

Cool thread!
I have the CRKT M16FD's. A 12 and the Big Dog. I still have my Samson KISS too.
Good job, Fishface.^

#7 is a SOG, but I can't remember the name of the model. Big thing going for it was that you could adjust the pocket clip.

You guys are quick, the SOG is a mini Autoclip aside from the adjustable pocket clip it was one of the first production folders to use BG42 for the blade.

FF, you're just an educated knife enthusiast. :) Nothing wrong with that..
