Just a fun post, if Jeremiah johnson had his pick of the knives available today what do you think he'd pick.
It could be a production or custom, let's hear what you think would fit with his Mountain Man lifestyle !!!
 
Randall 14 or 16 with SS, nickle silver guards and border patrol handle. Be great for getting and processing them livers. :p

Definitely something from Rick Marchand.

Rumor has it some guy foolishly offered Rick some sickly livestock for one of his wilderblades and Rick ate the guys liver... Johnson Style.:D
 
Jeremiah would pack a Siegle HoodlumII :D Great for slicing liver!
 
He would travel in an RV. Being the modern Jeremiah Johnson, he is also a member of BFC and owns so many knives only a RV to carry them all, will do. :D
 
actually the Jim Thorpe bowie from Randall is supposed to be the modern knife ,The book "Crow Killer" was about Thorpe and this is where the story of Jerimiah Johnson came from its a great knife.
 
I bet he would go with what he used for real. His knife had a 11" long blade. and was just about 3/8" thick at the spine. His knife is in a muesum in wyoming.

It was a J. J. as I do. His new and improved knife would look something like this.
