Just for fun: what's the strangest skill you've got?

Uncle, Brian, thanx for advice that saved my arm or foot. I felt so much truth sense in your posts, is it possible that your posts came from your first hand experiences?

Hmmm...

I don't think that they beat any of the ones already mentioned, but....

I'm a novice homebrewer, when time allows. I also like to make mine with a higher alcohol content. I mean, isn't better tasting, more potent beer the whole point?

When I was in college, I was heavy into the study of Jujitsu. One night, at a keg party (at our frat house), I slipped on a beer spill in the kitchen and did a back break fall to keep from hurting myself. Everyone got a kick out of it and some girls asked if I could do it again, so I did. Hey, when you're in college, at a keg party, and cute girls ask you to do something ... you do it right? Well, the next night (another keg party) these same girls asked me to do it again, so I did (to applause). It kinda became a thing where people would just walk up to me and ask to see me "fall down". For the sake of variety, I started doing other types of break falls too

I haven't done that in a while ... hmmm, tonight is our company x-mas party ... nah

Oh, and it's not an AK, but I am working on twirling my 20" Village Chainpuri/Short sword. Slowly at first, but building up speed as I get more comfortable

OK, not on the same thread (if there is one), as the rest of the replies here but... I was watching some friends' kids the other night (my wife had a Ladies only Christmas party and I was the designated baby sitter!), and, while we were coming back from getting pizza, one of the little girls said that they had just gotten a Bing Crosby CD and that she LOVED his music. I've always had a tender spot for the 'Old Bingster', and I do lots of voice impressions. Sooooo, I broke into 'I'm dreaming of a white Christmas'. The next day, my wife said that when her friend got home, she called to say that her kids were raving, saying 'Mom, Rob sounds just like Bing Crosby!'. So there you have it. What can I say, I'm a dad of five so far, no exciting stuff but, everyday survival with 5 under the age of 8 is pretty exciting these days!

'He's losin' it... (Words spoken about me by a visitor seeing me with my Khuk!)
Lucky for them I'm not...

Guys:
I've been a "lurker" here for months now but never registerd. Finally, Jim's question and Khazar Kid's response made me sign up <Laughing>. I've been a practicianer of an Okinawan Martial Art for 30 years now and we do some "conditioning" similar to the Khazar Kid (allthough not on our heads <G>). I punch on a padded cement floor to condition the knuckles and also beat on the boney sides of my forarms with a steel pipe to condition them for blocking techniques. I am viewed as wierd even by my fellow practicianers cause no-one does this sort of thing anymore. With lawsuits and all, the "old methodes" of training are disscouraged. Well, I find I'm in good company on this Forum.
