I decided to put a photo of a Bob Cargill Stag Canoe in here. The Oak Leaf shield is a nice touch.

That's a sweet knife. Very nice stag. I didn't know about the oak leaf shield until now. It looks like an early Cripple Creek, what other patterns have the oak shield? What does the tang say?

The Oak Leaf shield appears on knives stamped "CARGILL". Usually means it is a pre-1981 knife. 1981 is the year "Cripple Creek" was born and the "Cripple Creek" stamp took over. For the most part anyway. Glad to see you guys enjoy the pic !!

One of my favorites here. This one has the lettering on the shield, rather than the 3 legged buffalo.
