You beat me by 15 minutes! I just happened to see this on Buck's FB page and was coming over here to post it.

Buck sure knows how to keep pulling dollars out of my pocket!! :)

I wonder who comes up with these ideas?

I wonder who comes up with the bizarre names? What market would this be aimed at?

'Fess up, whoever you are at Buck.

:)

The "Hoodlum" and the "Punk". I kinda do like the names. I understand where "Hoodlum" came from....a play on Ron's last name.

Anyway....I have six "Hoodlums" (4 first versions), now I'll have to get six "Punks" to go with them.

My prediction is that next year Buck will probably come out with another knife in the series that's smaller than the "Punk" and call it the "Wimp" or the "Wise Guy". :)

I don't like "punk" and "hoodlum". I believe for the greater market, knives are tools. They are to me. To punks and hoodlums, knives are weapons, and not necessarily defensive weapons. It's not a good image for a supposedly God-fearing company.

Looks like a decent design, but kind of reminds me of something TOPS might make. I'm not crazy about coated blades, and I really don't like writing on the blades of my knives. Tang stamps I'm okay with, but not writing on the blade, especially a word like "punk." What's next, "Gangsta," "Thug," or "OG?" Just not for me. I might get one if they offer a plain-blade version.

Geeze, some people sure get hung up on names.
Nice to know that some people have even easier lives than me, where such trivial nonsense matters (I thought my life was easy...).

The knife looks okay.:)

On the Facebook page there is an entry by Karen Hood, apparently Ron named all his knives in a theme ...

It's kind of obvious you're not "hung up on names", stabman.

I KNEW someone would come back to that one.
Here's how to proceed:

Step one: grow a sense of humour.
Step two: buy Mystery Men (that's right, buy it...don't borrow it or be an internet cheapskate)
Step three: enjoy the laughs engendered by comedy, and have the hidden secrets of the screen-name revealed (hint: Blue Rajah)

Step four: forget what was learned, lose sense of humour, and go back to stupid focus on names.;)
