Just got a "Court Order" from the wife....

The handle is a two piece wood handle with some kind of spacer splitting the 2 pieces. Apparently is is something that Jerry had laying around from the early 90s. Ever since I got the knife I have been searching everywhere on the internet trying to find more of this handle material but I can not seem to find anymore, anywhere.

Worst part of the whole deal was after the blade was ground Jerry gave it to me to handle up. He said it was a very urgent Christmas present for someone. I kept asking who it was for but he would not say. I ended up having to handle up my own Christmas present. I consider myself to be a somewhat intelligent person but I had no idea it was mine. It made for a very good Christmas gift.:D

hah!!! ironical.

Sometimes being involved in your own "gift giving'receiving" is the neatest thing going. I did this to my wife years ago and it was a very super nice chirstmas present... :D

WOW! Major congrats on your one-of-a-kind wife and one- of-a-kind blade.

Dan

Holy Jeebus! You are a lucky, lucky man.

Nice....Send it to me so I can get a 10 megapixel shot posted for ya.

That's a fantastic present. :)

See there really is good that can come from not hiding your knives from your significant other. Just look at the gifts you might receive. ;)

Hey Garth,

The knives are very nice but I'm more interested in buying your wife.

Congratulations! Fantastic wife and good-for-Jerry, keeping the whole thing quiet.

Now, how-oh-how did Amy manage to not spill the beans?!

Gorgeous, buddy. Nice score!

I'll add mine to the list of awesome knife, and awesome wife posts, great score on both points.

I want to point something out that I haven't seen mentioned.

This knife was being made as a gift for someone that I assume is a close friend of Jerry's, and who did he take it to for the handle fitting? Garth.

I think that says a lot about the confidence that Jerry has in the work that Garth does for us.

It is also a cool lesson for Garth to do each knife as if it were going to be his, becuase once in a while it will be.

Yet another reason why,
Busse ROCKS!!

congratS Garth! thats awesome! great wife and a great knife! that's call to bust open a new bottle of BLUE LABEL! :D

WOW! I haven't opened this thread, becasue the title was the type that normally leads to me being angry.
Last time I got a "court order" from a wife it cost me a really nice Condo!

I somehow doubt my (new) wife will ever give me this kind of surprise.

Congrats on the amazing gift! And the knife she gave you!
