Just got a Milli-All I can say is WOW!!!

I agree, it is a nice knife.

I used the Sharpmaker for a size reference.

The Sharpmaker isnt too huge, but the Mili is right up against it. You can see that the Mili is pretty huge.

What Esav says is so true. It's funny but I carried a Millie for about 3 weeks straight and then got out a Delica and was like "what the heck is this little thing?". It is weird like that. It's all about what you're used to.

Congrats on one of the best knives ever made.

I used to carry a Kershaw Scallion that I thought was pretty good sized, then I got a Leek and started carrying an Endura 4.

Now I just dont feel safe without a full-sized Grip or something comparative in size.

I can only imagine right now what this Mili is gonna do to me.

I love the Millie! Congrats on your first. It's an extra special knife made by an extra special Co.

Very true.

I've got 4, and I'm convinced I need at least one in Digicamo and one with a DLC coated blade before I even think of letting up.

Some people collect 5-6 Sebbies, but I'd rather collect Millies. Better ergos, and a bit lighter on the wallet! :D

This Mili just seems so huge. Before this, the biggest knife that I had ever seen was the Endura 4, now I have a Mili, and when I bought it I just figured "okay... so maybe it's a very tiny bit bigger..." that's not the case.

When people say that this knife is huge, they mean it.

I would think that the Para would be around the same size as an Endura 4.

Here's a comparison picture of a Military and an older Endura.

The Endura is a lot easier to pack into a small pocket. But the Military seems to be perfect for the right rear pocket carry or your coat pocket. I compared a Para the other day to the above Endura and the handles are almost the same size. The Para had a pretty decent blade, just a little shorter than the Endura.

Here's the Military fit in a Spec Ops Combat Master sheath pocket:

I own two Millies right now, with plans of buying at least three more pre-need replacements. Very easy on the wallet. :)

grrr. I wish i had some $ for one. Anyone want to trade one for a cold steel night force? hahah. made myself laugh.

I for sure have plans for purchasing at least one more Mili.

Probably a Para as well.

Need those funds though.

Slow and easy. :)

No sense buying up an arsenal all at once, it's more fun saving for a new one and spreading the excitement out. It seems there will always be another new model. (I want a framelock.)

Congradulations on buying one of the, if not the most talked about modern knife and rightfully so!

Ah the Military, how I love it. Where's the hearts smiley when I need it? :D

Not sure how that last one snuck in there....

Congrats on your purchase of one of the all-time best folders ever! Oh, and what Esav and David both said about getting used to the size is commonly called "shrinkage". :D When I bought my first Millie (FG D2) about a year and a half ago, I thought the exact same thing - "this thing is HUGE and I love it, but won't be carrying it much". Now I own 5 different ones (D2, BG-42, CE S30V, black/black S30V and Orange S30V) and I almost always have at least one in my pockets.

:thumbup:Carry it, use it, enjoy it!

Good advice, I often need to remind myself of this. Or have someone else remind me.:)

just picked up a millie today and I'm REALLY impressed with it.

I thought it would be too large for me, but it rides well and it fits perfect in my hand.

Ive had my Militarys for a few weeks now, and they are pretty much the most perfect knives that I have carried.

I am still a little nervous about the tip, but I dont think Ill have a problem.

For what a light-medium duty knife is supposed to do, incl. light prying, there isn't anything much better than a Military in terms of blade geometry, lock reliability, and handle ergos. I carry one fairly often, though I must admit I carry smaller folders more regularly simply due to workplace "attitudes".

It'll handle batoning, carving, slicing, etc. Just don't expect it to chop like a Busse GW ;).

One of my favorite things about the Military is comparing it with other knives that are supposed to be "really big". When you put your average plus sized folder beside the Military, it just doesn't seem so huge anymore. Some of them end up looking a little on the small side, though they weigh twice as much (ZT 0300 for example).
