Just got a new Kershaw Junk Yard Dog II with composite blade

The washers are phosphor bronze. As for lube, any light machine oil will work such as a good quality gun oil or synthetic. Dry lubes will work well, too. If you plan on using it for food prep, I'd suggest mineral oil. It only takes a small drop to be effective.
 
It's also helps to use an even grip when you flip them. It's common for some to over torque the knife with their grip when they try tp flip and impeded the opening action a little.
