Just got a small mill

Just got a mill this past weekend. It is a Diamond Brand and it has a rusnok head. The person I got it from

media blasted it so it is ready to paint. I looked it up and have not found much information on it.


Does anyone have any experience with this type of mill?

It's a horizontal mill. I hope they disassembled it before blasting. You don't want grit in the works.
 
Is that a horizontal mill ? I dont see a headstock as I might expect. What am I missing ?
 
I think it is both a vertical and horizontal mill. I have a vertical rusnok head that it came with I will post more pictures later.

I did manage to find some information on.practical machinist forum.

I think it will work well for guards and other small projects.

Here's a little history.

As long as you don't get too crazy with it, the Rusnok addition should be adequate for anything a knifemaker would need to do, as well as other projects. Do you have a picture of the head as well?
