Just got a Tenacious, Have Questions

I don't notice and grittiness on any of my liner lock knives even when opening the slowly. Don't own a Tenacious, but do own a couple other Spyderco liner lock models. Did you adjust the pivot screw?

Could it possibly be dirty? It only takes a little piece of grit to make it feel the way you describe. I'd blow the pivot out with some compressed air and put a small drop of gun oil on it.

It could be that. I'll try cleaning it thoroughly and applying some lube.

I had an unenjoyable experience with another knife that didn't seem right, so I guess I'm overthinking every issue.

Thoughts on washer sizes

I think the washers are different sizes (OD) for clearance purposes. It seems that they needed a smaller one for the lock side so it won't interfere.

The use of two washers may be to give enough clearance for the detent ball.

What type of driver do you need? Which side of the body screws do you unscrew? I'm using a Torx bit set that works fine for the blade pivot and clip screws but seems to cause the body screws to strip. The body screws seem to rotate but not move vertically.

I removed the pivot screw to apply Loctite and the blade fell out. The problem is that my Torx drivers aren't working on the body screws. I can't reassemble the knife until I know what type of driver I need. Maybe it's just a matter of how I'm trying to unscrew the body screws as there is a head on each side of the body. Could somebody help?
