I would have cut the cord with my Pack knife, but it didn't meet the standards for something they could autoclave properly.

His first knife is going to be one of these, because it's nearly identical to my first knife--an old Erickson Mora that I'm lucky enough to still possess. It has a hollow pommel cap, a curly birch handle, and a laminate blade, though. It's next to impossible to find those things on the 'net.

His second knife is totally going to be an ESEE though. ;)
 
42 it was almost 6 months when I was in your shoes. Congrats and try to keep up its been the fastest (and best) time of my life.

They do indeed grow up fast. It was just a few years ago my boy was born he's seven now.

Sometimes i can't tell who's teaching who to be a man, best. Kids can teach you alot too.

He's a pretty little dude. He's 20" long but oh-so skinny! Made for a good birth though! :)

He's been the sweetest little boy and been nice and quiet and well behaved--so far at least! He's sleeping soundly right now. :)
