Just Got My 710...

Right on Cap'n. I have to keep reminding myself that I bought this to be a user. I'm just being fussy because it's my first time spending 100 bucks on a knife.

I cut a sock in half right now and it felt SWEET! Very different than 154cm IMO, it took little to no effort... as soon as the sawing motion starts the "rough" edge of D2 just bites in and slices its way through. Super cool.

D2 is an awesome steel. I put an insanely acute edge on mine (under 30 degrees inclusive) and it holds a crazy edge easy. Great stuff, enjoy your knife you chose one of the best!

I have to get a 710 one of these days. It is such an iconic knife and a real looker that comes in some great steel.

is the 710 the same dimension of the regular griptilian? was thinking abount both and size matters for me
thanks

Sorry for the slow response. l had a few exams in the past few days.
Yes, the picture on the previous page is exactly what I was talking about. When flicking the knife closed, the blade over-travels and hits the back spacer, causing the front 0.5 inch-or-so of the blade to dull faster than the rest.
I did a mod for a friend on the BM forum which effectively took care of the back spacer problem. Let me know if you want the info on that.
Here's what the mod looked like:
