received my Crawford KFF from fellow forumite RDT in the mail. the blade is in Devin Thomas raindrop damascus with a satin finished Ti handle. the backspacer looks like stainless with some filework on it.

First impression: this is a big folder with a good heft to it. the handle is nicely proportioned, but taller than i expected it to be. aside from a couple tiny scratches, the satin finished handle is perfect. saber grip and natural grip both feel great. reverse hammer grip feels pretty good, too. i haven't played with it long enough yet to get a read on how it feels during grip transitions, but everything seems good so far. the lock-up is nice and tight with a solid click. i can't detect any blade play. it being my first true custom, i've got to say that my expectations were high. i've also got to say that they were all fulfilled.

now, the blade: abso-freaking-lutely GORGEOUS. i spent a good part of the night just looking at it and feeling it. it was sharp, but not shaving sharp. i may give it a couple passes on the sharpmaker if i can bear to, but for now, i'll leave it be. i do get the feeling that the edge is kind of toothy.

overall, i'm very happy with my purchase. the KFF is a thing of beauty. i think i'm hooked. it's on my belt as we speak, and i have a feeling it'll stay there... at least until i get another one to replace it. :D
