BaldTaco - I gotcha  I have never used both knives in the same time frame, so it's always hard for me to judge between them. All I know is that they feel "different"
Maybe this weekend I can get some shots of just those 3 together (Gunny, RC4, F1 -- profile, from spine, etc.). In the whole RC4 vs F1 debate, I chose "Both"
. I remember that the RC4 seemed short to me for some reason initially, but ever since I became more familiar with it, the length is fine . I do not remember having any negative first impressions about the size or shape of the F1 handle, though it was one of my first knives so I probably didn't have enough experience to be really critical back then.
For kicks, consider this totally non-rigorous and very rough chop:
With a simple silhouette overlay:
All I did was cut out the RC4, roughly erase the background around the knife, pseudocolor, overlay at 50% transparency, and rotate to sorta align the knives better. I did not change the size of the knives at all (and the knives were relatively close together in the field of view, the error can't be too large). Again, I realize it is not by any means a robust analysis, but it gives an idea nonetheless.
Twin Blade - I'll be gettin in touch with you later for a sheath
The new Sur-loc sheath is really interesting and is pretty slick, but I want a kydex option as well.
Jake - You're one of the guys that pushed me over man! It's your fault!
