• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come

It was taking way too long to try to fix the edge on my bm 940 with sv30 steel, so I took some 400 grit sandpaper, and clipped it to both rods, then went to medium rod, then went to the fine rod.

After about 5 minutes of sharpening, I'm shaving with it. I can't whittle a hair yet, but its pulling the hair off my arm with or against the grain. It can't push through paper (I've never had an edge do this though). I'm really quite pleased with the 16 dollars I spent. Anyone looking for an easy system for touching edges up or putting a nice edge on a blade, get this thing. It's not 'wicked' sharp, but its more than enough for what I need. I'll work on perfecting my form since it was the first time I used it. Maybe after a while it'll be pushing through phonebook paper :)

Overall: I'd definitely buy it again.

i agree they are nice cheap setups- I can get hair whittling edges of the medium rods- i never had one with the fine rods- I used to use as strop to make my knifes split hair- get a bit more practice and your edges will get better :D
