Like most have said, it is larger than expected, but the more I look at it, the more I appreciate it. I was lucky enough to get one of the First Production run. Mine is #778. Great centered blade, fit and finish good, not quite Moki or CRK standards, but close. Mine was exceptionally sharp out of the box, which I hear some have not been. Only complaint I have is some of the taps for the fasteners inside the liner weren't clean, as there were some shavings of the G10 still present. Otherwise, I'm happy with my purchase and have a new favorite EDC!!

Congratulations m8, Im still debating on whether or not to get one.

def worth a try!! mine wasnt for me so i passed it along right here on the forums !! but still a beautiful knife IMO!!! if i wasnt in between jobs right now and could have used it on the construction site i def would have kept it!! if you like thick chunky over built knives this one its the king of em!!

Congrats! I would love to handle one. I think if I was in the market for a super tough overbuilt knife it would probably be my first choice.

Gratz on your new aquisition!
Probably gonna get this one, it's too small but still looks SO cool.
Anyone have pictures?

for anyone who is worried this this knife is too small, believe me when I say that is the last thing you will think once it's in your hand !!

I wasn't in the market for an overbuilt knife either!!! :D

My Spiderco Zowada is actually more than I need, but I just had to have it!

The proportions make this knife look rather small in pictures. I was thinking it was closer to the AlMar SLB in size, but it dwarfs that knife in person. There are some good youtube links that give a good idea on size.

Not worried, it is factually too small for me and I STILL intend to buy it, I love the design so much.
The smallest I carry is a Kershaw Blur, and it doesn't get much pocket time 'cause it's... too small. I normally carry a Police 3, a Rukus, that type of folder, sometimes even bigger. Lately a Black Rhino and an Onslaught have been added.
In this company, the 755 is a midget. It's about 1.5" smaller in blade length.
And I don't care. I'm still gonna get it. I just can't not get it. :D

I got one and although I love the knife mine came with a little play in it, and it's being sent off to Benchmade today to get fixed. Once I get it back it will be my EDC replacing my CF Stretch.

Have you used it any? A lot of times there will be a little bit of play when a knife is new because it needs to wear in some which will allow everything to tighten up. The warranty will always be there if the play doesn't go away. I think I would use it for a couple weeks and flip it open and closed while watching TV so you get a couple hundred cycles on it and see what it does. I would be willing to bet the play goes away if the lock bar has normal lock up (30-60% of blade tang covered by lock bar). But I don't like to pay for shipping and be without something I like if I don't have to. A little bit of play isn't going to make the knife any less strong.

Just my 2 cents on play in a new knife.

I've been opening and closing since I got it, and I've tryed playing with the pivot screw also, and it still has the play in it also when I push on the spine the lock bar starts to slide out and doesn't look safe to me. I called Benchmade and they said to send it in to them, they also gave me a number to use at UPS for free shipping.

Thanks for the info though.

I've had mine for a couple weeks now and love it. Of course I'm a sucker for knives built like tanks!

I have one, and wonder if anyone else agrees the position of the thumb stud is strange? I don't understand why Benchmade put this HUGE cut-out to access the thumb-stud, and then place it above where your thumb would access it? It feels great in hand, so the cut-out has a definite purpose, but the design could be tweaked a bit to make it easier to open. Not saying I can't open it quickly, but it takes some practice to get it perfect, like not pushing on the lock-bar while engaging.. that unnatural initial feeling is disappointing.
On a positive note, am I lucky to get my hands on one that's number 14 of 1000??
I think it's cool... :)

I haven't been able to handle one so I don't know, but are you using it right? It wasn't put there by Benchmade but by Mr. Sibert and from pictures it looks ok? Many people assume you press outwards on the stud perpendicular to the blade when it works much better if you push upwards parrallel to the blade. Maybe that would work better?

This is exactly how this was designed to be opened.

Ive had mine awhile, number 749, and it really is bigger then one would guess. I was hoping to carry it loose in my pocket and replace my tenacious, but, no way. Some mention the weight, personally i dont notice the weight the way i do in other knives, feels lighter then other knives when its not.
