It's a big step up for me: my last watch was an older g-shock. i also don't see a jaeger-lecouture anywhere in my future (or any other truly high end watch for that matter). for my money, i think the omegas are an almost perfect balance of performance, functionality, and cool factor.
the bracelet's super comfy, and the dial is practically incandescent. this sucker is pretty heavy, though.

first knives. now watches. credit card companies LOVE me.

Congrats!

Just think of the knives and watches as your part in trying to move the U.S. Economy along.

Good Choice!

I have worn my Seamaster GMT almost daily for the last 2 years and I still love it. I have had several rolexes in the past but none of them have ever compared to the quaility of my Omegas

SIMON-- Hey what do you think of the sea dweller?

Anyone know 'bout Brietling 'Avenger Seawolf' Ti??

Congratulations!! I've worn a SMP for two years and love it. I actually had two for awhile, a GMT, but decided one was all I needed.
These are a great watch, priced right with first class appearence and quality.

The Sea Dweller is certainly a more rugged, more serious divers watch than say the submariner. If you are a serious diver though you may wish to consider a DOXA watch as opposed to the Rolex, less expensive and I would not say a lesser watch. Don't get me wrong, I have liked each of the Rolex's that I have had - my favorite being the Explorer II with a white dial but none of them have ever been particularly accurate time pieces & at their current prices, even pre-owned I have a difficult time justifying the cost for them. There are better watches out there for less.

Take care & Stay safe
