Was wondering if there was a way to loosen it up a little. really have to "Flick" it to open it?

Did put a little oil in there and that helped,
Also put a radius on the edge of the spydey hole, that seemed REALLY sharp much better know and not as tuff on the finger and nail when flicking it open.

thanks

Can't really think of a way to loosen them, my suggestion is to just wear it in, as iit's not steel lined it should wear in pretty easily if it's too tight.

Ditto on what the other guy said.

When I got both of mine, they actually opened pretty easily.

If you think that its really, really stiff, you can send it back to them for adjustment or replacement.

Personally I dont like it when people suggest to send things back because they charge you for shipping and all of that and my thoughts are that you paid all of that money for the knife, and you have nothing to do with the condition that the knife came in, so why should you have to pay to fix it?

I agree on the shipping cost, you pay good money for something it should perform out of the box.

that being said its not that stiff that I would send it back , guess I will just have to use it...;)

Just to clarify, the $5.00 shipping is ONLY if it is a Repair item. If an item is in for a warranty issue, there is no return shipping charge. For those who have sent something in with $5.00 and we determine it was a warranty issue, the $5.00 is returned.

If the Pacific Salt is new, then it probably just needs to wear in a little. As has been stated already.

It is a lock-back and doesn't swing open easy like a liner or frame-lock tends to.
On mine I can open it by holding the hole between my finger and thumb and just flicking the handle downwards. It's not as hard to open as most other lockbacks, IMO.

They are not lying about this. I sent in my d4w that had lock issues with a check for $5. They sent me a new knife and my check stapled to the papers that came with it.
