I really enjoy the knife and find it easy to manipulate with the lock on the front of the knife. I was just curious are all of the blades hand ground or are they ground on a machine? I am next considering a pocket hobbit or a carnivour.

I really like the Pioneer I too, and agree that it opens-closes easily.
They are very sturdy, rust resistive field knives and are among my favorites.
I can't answer your grinding question. You may wish to email REKAT directly.

Try the Carnivore. I just got mine and love it.

Looks like the Pioneer Is are going cheap. Blade auction has two dutch auctions going now and the knives should be bought for under 50!

Never mind, I found it. I must be too dependent on the missing "search" function. First, I ask a question that was asked a week before (differences between two models) then I ask you where the auction is...I found it by scrolling back.

Sorry I waited so long to get in touch with you. Did you manage to get in on the auction?

I'm still waiting for the UPS truck.

Found the site okay, but no REKAT offerings now. Oh, well. Maybe someone will answer my other thread asking what dealers have the P1 models.
