Just got my Pro Tech Godson...sweet

I just received my new pro tech Godson (Maple burl handle/satin blade) and I must say this is one sweet blade. The opening mechanism is superb...fast and smooth. The feel is solid but light weight with a real air of quality to it. This is definately the crowning jewel of my budding collection. I would have loved to have a knife like this when I was younger. I guess the best thing about getting older is being able to buy better toys. Does anyone know off hand the laws in oregon and Washington. The guy at the knife shop told me I can carry it as long as it is exposed (not that I would carry this gem anyway).

I have played with the Pro-Tech Godson and it is one fine knife. I only wish that I could own and carry one in Virginia where I live. I know that I will NEVER be able to carry one in Washington, DC, where I work.

They are great looking knives and very well made, IMHO. Now that the bug bit you you'll have to get the different styles and maybe even step up to the Godfather.

The Protech I like and carry most often is called the "Runt". It has a chubbier blade which is not as likely to chip the point off and it is small and probably legal in the Socialist Republic of CA.

Depending on local laws the Protech Runt is legal to carry in CA. IIRC Autos are legal to carry in Oregon but hopefully Gollinick will chime in and help here.
