I just took delivery of my new RC-3 and hour and a half ago. First thing was to look at it and admire the fit and finish. Then I had to immediately shave my right forearm, run outside and slice through 2 inch-and-a-half-thick maple saplings I had been meaning to cut down for a couple of months, baton off a slab of oak then split that down and made a couple of fuzz sticks, carved out 2 trigger sets for twitch-up snares, then came back inside and sliced up a tomato and shaved my other arm.

This thing is the best. I am definitely going to get me one of those orange/OD RC-4s and some pink Izulas.

RAT Rules.

Jeff

P.S. I am usually not very excitable.

Jeff, thanks for the post and welcome aboard the RAT Club. Please post up more and include some photos!

Also, if you have any problems, let us know. RAT Cutlery is never any further away from their customer than an email or phone call. Unless we're in the jungle :D

Thanks for believing in us and buying and using our knives!

Jeff

Welcome, don't worry your amongst a bunch of nuts who all get excited over a fine quality blade such as an RC-3. Now go get its big brother and post some pics.

Hey there jb welcome. I think I am going on record saying that the RC-3 is my favorite RAT Cutlery knife. I thought it was the RC-4 but after the beating we gave the jungle on our last trip, I believe its the RC-3 again. It just maybe one of the baddest knives of our time. Hey but what do I know, I eat bugs. Have fun with the knife bj.

Hey you dislexic bug eater its JB not BJ, get your mind out of the gutter:D

I agree.

I got my OD/Orange plain edge RC-3 yesterday and I didn't put it down all night. I just got home from work and had to come upstairs to look at it again.

the color scheme and quality feel of the knife are striking. I love it.

Now I need to sell some stuff to get an RC-4.

Welcome to the club, jb. The RC-3 is a very well-made knife indeed. Comfortable, great blade design, and these guys do a great job with 1095 steel.
