I used to have a No 8, but I gave it to my girlfriend and she loves it. I just picked up a No 12, and I guess I just didn't realize how big it was... almost comical, the size of it.
Closed, it is over 6" long lol and up to ~1" in diameter, and nearly a 5" blade. This thing is a behemoth.

I'm not complaining here, I got it to use for food prep, and it will do just that. But now I'm considering ordering a number 10. Anyone have experience with a 10? I'm wondering just how much more pocket-able it would be.

Oh and next time I see someone asking for a self defense knife, I'm recommending this bad boy to be used as a yawara or a bludgeon..

I bought the number 12 for my wife to use in the kitchen. It is a great slicer, I went ahead and put a patina on it just to help a little with the rust issue since it is carbon steel.

Oh yeah, this one is definitely getting a patina. I'm starting on that tonight, gonna be cutting up onions for philly cheese steaks!

The knife with the corkscrew is a no 10. For comparison, the rosewood and ebony handled knives are no 8.

Ah perfect thank you! I liked the 8, but I just wished it was a tad bit larger, I think maybe the 10 would be perfect for back pocket carry.
