Just got my Spyderco Para-Military

Got a Victorinox "Spartan" with a dead dull main blade once. Absolutely flat edge. Of course, it wouldn't snag on a paper towel and was really easy to sharpen.

lol, you got the "sheeple" custom edge.

i dont know if product isint as good as it can possible be then its not good enogh for me

if it is tru that the knife could come without that burr, then yes its not acceptable and will be returned. Its called quality control

Vinny,

I've never owned a SAK that I've kept in 45 years of knife using and collecting. I've had 20 or so of them, and while they're pretty, they wouldn't
hold up to my use, and the steel was crap.

If you are obscessing over that knife, I would recommend that you contact a custom maker and get one made to your specifications. It is only by accident that a factory made knife rolls off the line and is absolutely "perfect"

Your knife is a working tool, meant to be used....and it will serve you well. It is not a limited production knife with 40 or more hours committed to hand finishing/fitting, with microscope examinations.

The only way you get that kind of perfection is from one of the many craftsmen who naturally charge more than $90-100 for their product.

Good luck in you're quest, you're going to need it. :D

Thomas Zinn

Kinda curious how to post photos like Vinny does.....I thought being a non-paying basic member couldn't post attachments.

At least, that's what the "you can and you cannot" dowhickus at the bottom of my bladeforums page says.

Is there someway I can do this?

Thomas Zinn

If you have a picture hosted somewhere on the web you can click the "insert image" icon above the box you type your post in.

Paying members can also post pix another way, uploading a pic directly from your hard drive to the Bladeforums servers.

AHHHH So Master Cougar, I understand.

Being a bit computer illiterate(illegimate?) the things are a mystery to me.

Regards,

Thomas Zinn :D
