Just got my TAK in to day

I don't know that you'd need to return the blades as long as you're satisfied that they're structurally sound.

One of the reasons that Jeff/Mike say they started RAT Cutlery was because of quality control issues at Ontario, such as you've just noticed!

Exactly! I haven't used it yet and I don't want to wait till I really need it and it breaks on me or whatever. Right after I ordered my second dang Ontario RAT, was the second (almost literally) I read and became aware of the whole scandal perpetrated by Ontario against our brothers Randall and Jeff.

Anyways, putting them side by side, (they are both Ontario TAK's :o), the 1095 is indeed slightly thiner. The D2 TAK also does not have the acronym TAK on one side, and the name Ontario is hardly noticeable on the other side. Talk about craftsmanship and pride in quality. :o

I have a TAK in D2 great knife, but yes the sheath does suck. I made a new one out of Kydex and was really happy with it. May have to redo my belt loop on it, but I just might get a Tek-Lok for it instead.

Anyhow I would love to jump on some new Rat designs, kind of holding out for the Izula (sp). I'll have to see what it costs but the knife looks great.
