just got my very 1st buck and had to send it in already

97guns,
Still no sign of the knife. What address did you use? It really should have made it here by now.

hey joe, my wife received a call this morning from buck saying that the catapult is not repairable and that a replacement would be sent out. the person told her what model number but she didn't write it down, its supposed to be a white handled knife, any ideas?

i got the replacement today, they sent me a rush in silver. the blade is slightly shorter at 2 1/2 and im not really used to carrying a blade this small every day.

im not sure if im satisfied or not, ill have to carry it around to see if it suits me. the cat was a nice usable size for me. im satisfied in the fact that i was taken care of.

(( no sales in this forum, please )), it just doesn't do it for me.

97G's,

If I were you I'd try a Tempest or a Sirus. These two knives are larger than the Rush. I carry a Tempest in my pocket every day. I like the size and the blade shape on the T&S better than the R.

Sounds like Buck did everything to make you a satisfied customer on their end,is there anything wrong with the new knife,or are you just looking for a different knife?Buck is one of the few knife companies out there making quality products with a great warranty .

I'm sure you can find one buck you really like, lots of different models to choose from now.

Hey 97guns,
I feel like I am playing catch up here.

I dont get in here as often as I want but I check my emails throughout the day. Sorry you waited here for an answer, at least the company in here is good. :)
Please send me an email and lets see if we can get this straightened out ok?

bucks customer service came through in making me a happy customer. joe took the rush back and let me trade it in on an 889 that i like alot. 3 knives later i still have my first buck :D

97gs,

I would have to say "Nice trade". Congratulations on your 3X new Buck and give us your opinion on how the 889 performs.

it wasn't an even exchange trade, i did have to upgrade to the 889. the 889 is a rock solid piece, the one thing that you really notice when working the action on this horse is that it locks up like fort knox. this thing is built like a tank.

Cool beans on the 889
One of my favorites.
I think that pup would survive anything a knife is made to be used for.
