Just got my ZT 0393

Just waiting for the price to go down just a little then I'm getting one....
 
I love everything about it except the tip. I wish it had just a little more meat on it!
 
Any updates on your thoughts of it? Im considering one but cant decide
 
Getting mine later today, I will throw up some first impressions as well. Not that you asked me :p

I posted a side by side shot in the ZT/Kershaw Picture Thread.
First impression is just wow. I have two 0392's to compare it to, and it's up there, same great ergonomics, excellent action, as smooth and easy to deploy as the "big brother" the two tone looks is my jam, so it's subjective, the G10 is very nicely textured without feeling rough, I do see other peoples point about it being possibly making it a bit finicky to get in and out of the pocket due to the texturing.
The serial number is actually is my birth year, which is a nice coincidence. You can thumb flick it, or at least I can, I couldn't do it with the 0392Bowie out of the box, and it's still difficult with the 0392Black. Excellent sharpness out of the box. Supposedly the weight on the 0392 is almost an ounce more, I honestly can't feel a difference between the 0393/0392. Out of the box I can't see a single thing that I don't like as is. Would some Marble CF/Colored CF instead of G10 been nicer? Yeah, possibly, but I have no doubt that it's a Sprint Run thing, ala 0393CF / 0392CFBLK / 0393ALLTHECOLORS down the line. And it all honesty, looking at the overlays, it might be a nice DIY project if I (or anybody) wants to try their hand on making their own.
 
Glad you like the knife. Some knives grow on you over time... this knife I dislike more every time I see it. Such a waste.

Yeah, I can understand that, it's in the same realm as the 0055 in a way, you either like it or you don't. There are a lot of parts on the 0393 that might be "Meh" to people, the bright blue, two tone blade, the overlays. But hey, we live in a world at the moment where there is something out there for everybody, and ZT surely has some more stuff up their sleeve for the rest of the year. :thumbsup:
 
Beauty, Im a fixed blade lover myself, but I could get quite used to having this as an EDC, beautiful blade mate.
 
I think I'm going to wait and see if the aftermarket comes up with some overlays I prefer, really don't like those. But the design is really growing on me.
The customizability is endless with handle/ overlay colors and materials.
All black with a nice CF or uncoated titanium overlay sounds appealing.

Considering it. Honestly I love the design but the black flats are what’s keeping me from diving in. Going to wait and see how much I like the 0462 before giving it a try

Agreed. If someone starts cranking out ‘off the shelf’ overlays, I will be in. Otherwise I’ll be waiting for the color combo I want to show up as a sprint. I like the knife, but not the color scheme.

The two concerns I have are that on the framelock side it seems the G10 doesnt look flush with the ti part?
The other, completely subjective, is the spine towards the tip looks relatively thin. But that part I think I can get over haha
 
Waiting on mine to get here.
I've got enough blue knives so I'll see about getting rid of the blue and finding moon glow scales.

Do you mean that the G10 doesn't seem to lay flat again the Ti Liner/Frame? I can say that on mine, it certainly is flush against the Ti and I can't see any light if I look against the knife from the side, neither when the knife if open nor closed. As for the Spine, I wouldn't call it thin at any place, even the top swedge is beefy. If you need any pictures, let me know I can take a few snaps tomorrow.
