i was kiddin i'm not getting rid of the 300 i like it.

i don't carry a knife for Self defense i have a gun if needed but if i did need to use the knife in a situation i like the AO

Also how would you compare the ZT300 with the ZT350 just trying to figure out why it is so much cheaper

300 is a framelock with a titanium locking bar, hence it's the more expensive of the two. The 350 is a liner lock with stainless steel liners. The 350 is also 10% smaller. The blade length of a 300 is 3.75 inches, whereas the 350 is only 3.25 inches.

I love my 350.

yeah youre overreacting if the only flaw on your less than 300 dollar production knife is one you cant see without a magnifying glass

Why is that overreaching? I have a few less than $ 300 production knives that are flawless, naked eye or not.

If it was a user I would let such small, IMO, imperfections go, ALA they didn't affect performance or integrity of the knife. Now, depending upon the price and the company's track record, if it was a shelf queen then it would irk me and I would ask for another or the problem to be remedied to my satisfaction. I just received a BM Mini Skirmish from Knifeworks. There is a little tearout, though very little, in the lanyard hole of the G10 and I can live with that. I bought it to use. Otherwise, the knife is flawless and I'm happy. Good luck with your new knife whatever you decide to do.

he asked if he was overreacting, i honestly think he is. i would not have considered for a second sending my $200 knife that i waited so patiently for back to the company or even bother to make a thread here due to a tiny flaw next to the stamp of my production knife.

who said i couldn't see it without a mag glass? i could see it without i just used one to see what it was up close.
a litte "dirty" so to say. after i looked close i could see little its (only way i know how to explain it) in the metal. i use a mag glass just to get a nice up close look at it. but yes they are really small

personally i do think i did overreact a little but then again i think it was good i did. who knows what was under the DLC coating. what if the metal was rusted pitted cleaned then coated? what if the whole knife was like that under the coating? and now if some1 else has the same problem they will know what it is.

either way if u spend 200+ on a knife i think it should come flawless or atleast dam close. then beat it up from there on. if the thing breaks from using it then it don't matter because i did it in use. if it chips cutting wood i wouldn't mind as much as if it came new with it. if u get a knife with imperfections it also makes u wonder... is there a prob with the metal?

i'm not mad about it nor does it bother me because i found out what the problem was. when the blades where being shaped and sanded ZT told me there was a problem with the belt sander and a few knives slipped through inspection. so it's only a tiny inperfection in the blade and wont effect it . and unless u inspect the knife u wont see it. i didn't see it till a day later. he said if there is ever a prob with the knife he said to call him and tell him directly it was comming and he would personally take care of the knife. when i send it in for sharpening he is also go to look at it for me. (yes i don't sharpen my knives idk how to do recuves)

either way it is a very small imperfection that wont effect the knife at all. and if it does the blade gets replaced.

ZT has really great Customer Service.... top notch

the 350 it is very nice EDC . i don't even know i have it. the clip is really dam tight though. i do think they should have smoothed down the g10 where the clip is so it is easier to slide on. but atleast i know i wont lose it.

both are awesome knives. there both very sharp out of the box but not hair splitting sharp. but a lot of people have said that and they said they ran theirs a few times on a very fine rod and it become hair splitting. i think from the factory they just didn't put a really fine edge on it.

i just got to see how good of a steel this s30v is. i hope it lives up to the hype

SO WHAT SHOULD MY NEXT KNIFE BE?

Manix 2!

EDIT: Yea, I dunno what's up with people saying the ZT 0350 is too heavy at 6.6 ounces. I don't notice it at all, either. In fact, I often put my hands in the pocket that the 350 is clipped to just to make sure it's there.

Who knows? Maybe it's cause I work out so much and that light weight is really trivial to me. Then again I am an exercise science major.

haha awesome.. i'm a powerlifter and the 0350 feels light to me. even the 0300 feels good to me. if i knew in philadelphia that ever cop wouldn't be all over my a$$ for having it i would carry that also

i was in a movie last night and i had my feet up on the seat and didn't even know it was there. 5oz and under knives are for WUSSES!

Touche. As long as the knife is secured on my body I probably wouldn't notice a one pound knife. If it moves around and starts creating momentum as I walk/run, that's when I notice.

PSA: Lifting weights = good for your health.
