Just got the RAT model 2 ... pics!!

I just received through Amazon delivery the Ontario RAT model 2, and I gotta say... I absolutely love this knife!! Definitely worth the $26.00 !!!

Great ergonomics! And the nylon is grippy enough, I have no issue with that at all. The blade was perfectly centered. This knife flings open like it's assisted, just freakin' beautiful. It fits nice and slim in the pocket. I plan on going tip up with it though at some point (the thumb studs can catch the denim in the tip down position).

I definitely see this knife being my new EDC for a while. I was expecting this knife to feel like $26.00 but it feels like much more than that!!!

I only have one concern with this knife, which is the lock up position (see pics). Although the late lockup doesn't create any blade play, it does worry me as far as the longevity of the liner lock. Wouldn't mind hearing anybody's experience with that!

Other than the liner lock issue (which isn't too big of a deal right now), I love love love this knife!!

I love my Rat 2 as well. Mine locks up later then that and it has been fine.
 
lockup looks fine. My rat 2 was 3/4 lockup and I used it as a beater camp knife, splitting wood and light prying. The lockup never moved any further and I always felt comfortable with how solid the knife felt through camping tasks. Congrats!
 
For 260 bucks you could buy ten. If one lasted even just 3 years you'd be set for the next 30 years. It's hard to beat that kind of math.

Mine locks up just like yours and I've not had any issues. Extremely high performance to cost ratio!
 
Loved my Rat 2, unfortunately it was lost somehow.

I'm holding off ordering another one until OKC releases it with D2 steel.
 
My Rat2 locks up at the same position. Not a problem. It hasn't moved in over a year of EDC. Solid quality knife.
