I used to have a lot of product we made E-Coated. It is a liquid bath electronic deposition coating, used extensively in the automotive industry, that makes a superb "primer" for powdercoating. It defeats the faraday-cage effect, providing a great protective base. Subtle black satin finish - should be great for a pocket clip.
