Just had lunch with Mr. Fennell Sr. today. Held and inspected two of the baddest knives to come out! A BIG thanks to you Will Fennell for setting it up for us and yes, we placed a nice order to make sure we are one of the first to get them! They are awesome and that aftermath is a WOW! look forward to big things with Camillus! Thanks! Paul

Please share some of your first impressions about the knives, if you would.

They were both very nice, The Aftermath being spring assist is something else. When the Max 5.5's first got here, I was taken by the size. Now the Aftermath is the same "breath taker" size but you pull that flipper and she JUMPS! The D2 is a awesome. The carved handle is a great touch, real custom-like. The dominator seems like it will be big seller. More everyday size. The finish is the best part in my humble opinon. All I could do was to keep myself from getting on the floor and begging to keep them. Of course we order them to be one of the first, so I had to settle with that. HA HA! I wish I had of taken some pics. Sorry! All in All, I think they will be the biggest Camillus yet! Paul

We are taking pre-orders now and we have one of the first shipments to come. We are taking the orders first comr, first serve. Let us know if we can help. Thanks! Paul

dominator=$164.95
aftermath=$344.95

I could not decide between the 2 but since the price of the dominator fits my budget, the decision is made.

Hello! nonbox. If you have choosen aready. You can tell us or preorder on on the site, you will be one of the first in line. Thanks! Paul

Thanks a million! Your name is high on the list for our first shippment! Paul

Camillus had a booth down at the OCKA show in Eugene, and I went over to look at the Dominator a couple of times.

I was really impressed with the assisted opening mechanism. Some of the people around were comparing it to the Kershaw mechanism, which I haven't handled and so can't comment on. They felt the Dominator mechanism was superior.

The blade is pointier than it appears in the picture. This isn't good or bad, it's just different from what I was expecting.

Overall it's a great knife. One of the two Camillus reps said that they were coming out with a Dominator with different handle material for the $50 range.

I didn't see the Aftermath, which was a little bit disappointing. I now have one of Darrel's and wanted to compare the two, especially the assisted opening functionality. The Aftermath has become my default EDC.

Hi
The Camillus Aftermath is finished to standards ( for a factory knife) that I have never seen before. I feel it is one of the very best on the market today.

Does anyone know what are the dominator variants?

Will there be a black blade version? combo edge? zytel handle version? different steels?

I also had the opportunity to handle the Dominator
in Eugene last weekend.

If the show model is similar to the production pieces,
I will buy one, without question.

Beautifully finished titanium handles with a useful
blade shape made of S30V. The opening mechanism is
impressive--very quick and finishing with a solid
clack. The fit and finish was as good as any production
I have seen.

All of the major manufacturers have improved their quality
significantly. I think the trick will be to generate
the most appealing designs. This one was as good in person as
it was in the photos.

:eek: :eek: :eek: *salivating*

I'll assume that the blade steel is going to change too?

Is the handle material going to be some form of plastic scale over steel liners? Or is it just going to be a steel framelock like the EDC?
