You luck dog you... It missed St Louis. I live on the west side and work on the east side and I saw maybe 4" total. They had me work mids last night since I have the meanest truck out of all the maintenance guys.

Wow, I can't open my back door! Glad to hear you made it through, now I have to get dressed and dig out, there's 4'+ deep drifts (I live about 20 minutes north of John so we have pretty much the same as he got).

We lost power for about 10 seconds last night, I was so happy when it came back on.

Hi Stomper -

Here is the view out the back of my house - that is a 4' drift up against the door -

and my truck - the wind was blowing a lot of the snow away from the truck.

Yup, we got lucky in St.Louis, nothing more than some sleet and few inches. Everyone around us got pounded but the meat of the storm took a hard turn north right when it got here...whew. Hope the rest of you are warm and safe, take care out there.

I`m hibernating now. I plan on fieldstripping all my guns and reoiling them this afternoon. Good way to relax. I`m also thinking about trying to make some fancy wood grips for my single action Rugers.

We were lucky this time around. I think it dumped all it's fury before reaching us. But last week we got hit and it could have been a real calamity if not for my perserverance. After shoveling out the whole front and side walkways, I was ready to call it a day. Then to my horror, I realized a key player was missing and stranded in the backyard shed. I frantically started digging like a badger until finally reaching my destination. "Miller Time" was rescued!

We didn't get as much snow as you guys, but it was still a blow-off day. I took tunes, snacks and a forty to the river.

Just the basic food groups.

Lots of dead fall. No cutting or chopping required. I didn't even bring a knife.
