Like it says guys what do you guys suggest for a nice semi custom $200-$300 fixed blade as a edc that will see light duty since I always carry a folder in the combo. Further, right now my carry rotation is my trusted Gerber folding knife that has been with me for five years always in pocket. My fixed blades is a hefty custom 3" fixed that gets carried rarely due to its 15+oz weigh including pan cake sheath. But almost all the time I carry the Bk11, or my ka bar TDI. So with this said, I've been eying the Winkler belt knife, but I'm thinking practically that it will be too big for edc, then I see the Scrogg boot knife, with it's light weight I can see that riding in my pocket. Next is the Spyderco Moran but aesthetically and some other things, it's in my last likable list. And so I want to ask you guys to direct me to some nice semi custom fixed blades that I can purchase anywhere from $200-$300. :D

Have you looked at Bark River Knives? Convex edges, lots of handle options, and they are semi-custom. Highland, Woodland Special, Gunny, EDC, City knife, and others are all excellent choices.
Also, Fiddleback Forge makes a perfect EDC, called the EDC.

How about JK Knives. He has a few smaller fixed blades. And, they are less than $200. He's listed in the Knife Makers Discussion forum.

This may not be quite what you had in mind, and it's certainly not hundreds of bucks, but it is nonetheless a fixed blade intended for EDC.

If you buy it with both the kydex sheath and the hip pocket sheath, I don't think you can break $50, even with shipping.

Stats:
The 2-3/8" blade is 8A stainless at 58 Rc.
Measures 6" overall and weighs 1.2 oz.
Available with black Kydex® neck sheath or original leather hip pocket sheath.
Knife made in Japan, sheaths made in U.S.A.

So, now that the inexpensive suggestion is out of the way, let's stand back and see what shows up in the $200-$300 range:

:D

Have you been to Plaza Cutlery in Costa Mesa? Take a trip and a stack of Benjamins down there and check out what they have. Lots of nice stuff, he is also a Winkler dealer, so you can check it out.

Other than that, Art Summers makes some very nice small fixed blades. He is on here as ArtinNC.

Bill Coye Ridgeback if you can hunt one down. The one pictured below is my former one that I sold to a forumite here. Those were the pics I took for him that he then uploaded. They run about 190 to over 200 shipped. Problem is that the maker stopped taking orders, though it doesn't hurt to send him an email if you really want one.

There are some neat knives shown here! I think light weight is critical for an EDC knife. You mention weight in your post. Though less than half what you will pay, I think the Fallkniven WM1 would be a good one, belt or neck carry, it weighs just over 3oz with the sheath. I carry one as a neck knife. I believe the blade is around 2.8". Get one in 3G steel and it's closer to your price range. For a belt knife, I'd look at the smaller Bark Rivers.

I will second Bark River. Also, Boker has something called The Pocket Bowie which fits the bill, although less expensive. I ordered one recently, which should be here any day now.

Although not a semicustom the ESEE 3 is a pretty great EDC.
Slim profile, lightweight yet robust construction and a good sheath system that allows for different setups including iwb and pararigged.

I tried to use mine as a farm knife at which it sucked but for EDC use it would be a great choice.

I love the Falknivens, especially the one with the fully enclosed leather sheath. I can see myself carrying that as a edc since it'll be covered. The esse I do like the orange version RC3 but I want something special riding in my pocket but it's a candidate though. Next, bark rivers are nice but I would need a new kydex sheath for my carry application.

I would add a few more to that list.

Koster edc. I got to use two of the proto types and they were stellar! in the 200+ range if you can find them. (full grip, plenty of room, and super comfy in extended use)

Always on that list is Krein. You can some times find his in your price range. They tend to have smaller handles so ask before you buy what size the handle is.

Fiddleback has to make that list. He makes some absolutely stellar designs in that size range.

For production, there is always Busse. In that size range, I EDC a BAD a lot. Little over 3 inch blade. Thin, slicer. They make the AD (Active Duty) which is thicker, but still not heavy. You would have to hunt on the Busse subforum exchange, or post a wanted to buy. Also, they make a Game Warden that is right at 3 inches. I EDC'ed one for a few years. They range from thinner (very hard to find) to super thick (easier to pick up). Mine was .22 or so (making it a strong little brute).

A light 3" knife with sheath would be the benchmade nimcub 2.

I have one and like the feel.

Thats a good lookin little fixed blade, and a good price.

I would look at Gossman PSK (wrapped handle w/ kydex is around $100) you can choose f/ carbon or stainless. Good communication, quick turn-a-round time, and great blades. Also check ML knives short survivalist. Swamp rat rodent solution also.

Good luck
