I had to get some stakes for the garden today , the storms are playing havock knocking things over so Im pegging them up .. so they can be knocked over again I guess ...

but , on the way to buy some stakes , I drove past a bunch of bamboo and figure it would do just as good .

mercator vs bamboo , OK its a keychain knife but it does OK , you use what you have at hand right ? so why not give it a go ?

Well , that my effort for the day .....

A Mercator was one of the first knives I ever loved, easily 25 years ago. Great pics, thanks for the memories.

Im getting more and more respect for my mercator every time I use it , takes an edge like a razor and doesnt lose it in a hurry either .

from the looks of the pics, that 'beater' knife of yours has the best saw back i have ever seen. awesome blade! :)

Thanks :)
It used to be a saw in its previous life , a power hacksaw blade for cutting steel . It does a fair job as a saw , and as a knife , Im happy with it , even if it does look ... yeah , well ... ugly
