Tonight i was mounting my disk grinder to my bench and decided to clean shop a bit. so i did a bit of sweeping and dusting. i moved somethings back to there homes. then i just stood back and looked over it all. then it kinda just hit me, i have come a long way from my humble beginning of stealing my dads belt sander to make pointy knife looking things. and then a moment of thanks came oven me. it was quite humbling to say the least as i looked over my shop and saw all these things that i had only dreamed of when i was young. I just felt very thankful and blessed. just thought i would pass that on. and say how lucky we are to be able to do something we love so much and hold so close to us. some of us might not have nice fancy shops but give it time. but what is more important is that we enjoy every min we have. also thanks to everyone here for being such good friends.

Nicely said, I think the same thing often. I have difficulty in putting thoughts like that into words. We truly are lucky.

I am a fan of JT and I enjoy reading and looking at JT's post here.

Let me share my feeling about seeing my workshop alone in a night

In 1970 when i was young I spent time with my Grand Pa, he has a lot of good tools to do many many toys for me and I also learnt the way to work with hand tool from him.

It is more than 30 years till nowthat i was away from the tools and lately something came back to me at almost 50 years of age.

First, I love Dozier Knives and I get one Grinder from him withoput any Knowledge and experience in knife making.

It took me half year before I could make a reasonable good knife and then many other tools started to come to my shop........
