Heres one more. Orange Micarta and black Micarta with a 1095 blade.
Thanks for looking.

THAT is a great looking package. It rocks all over the place!

It's interesting to me how I looked at this knife. At first glance, I saw a couple features that weren't to my personal taste, namely the orange and the blade finish. Nothing wrong with either, of course, just not my faves.

But, since this is a friend's work, I pay more attention than I normally would. It's at that time that things start to grow on me. The shape of the knife is very graceful, well proportioned, smooth, flowing. Knowing Mike, I can picture the nicely tapered tang. The compound angle of the bolsters reminds me that is no easy task to do well, and Mike does that very well. The pin placement works excellently in counterpoint to the other lines. I smile as I imagine for a moment, "Mike's poor son is running around without a shoelace!" And then lastly I see something in the sheath: "Finally, I learn a decent use for that weird tool in the leather punches." :)

And, gradually, I came to really like a knife I ordinarily wouldn't. Nicely done! Reminded me to always look below the surface for the beauty within. Thanks, Mike!

That decribes exactly how I feel about YOU, Michael:jerkit: :D

Adam - Very nice.

I have some shorter pieces of orange micarta left over . I haven't figured out how to use them. Your use of the black canvas was ingenious. I'll have to keep this in mind for my next hunter.

Fitzo - I was a little surprised at how popular the orange is with hunters and fishermen. The skinners and fillet knives I have made with it were a hit.

Very nice Adam.

If you don't mind me asking where did you get the orange micarta? I've been looking for a long time.
