Just Order My First Custom Buck

I was just building a 110 on Buck's site. I have GOT to stay away from there!
The one I built had Ram's Horn and Brass with rivets and an S30V blade. The price wasn't too bad considering free shipping and comparing it to the Stag and Elk horn options/prices. It came out being around $144.I guess I'm too late to be able to get a BG42 blade. I should have bought one when they were available. Ram's Horn would be perfect for an April Birthday gift for myself!
I was trying to find out what the waiting time was, when I found this thread. So, about 4 weeks from order to delivery? Do they bill you at order time, or when it's ready to ship?
 
Hind sight is 20-20. When I ordered my Damascus CS 110, stag was reasonable. Ah, but I have stag handled knives - I prefer wood/Micarta/G10 to use. Elk is nice, too - as is water buffalo. The CS 110s are keepers - really spoil you. Here are mine, less the BCCI 20th Anniv ones:

They are addictive. I ordered the middle one - BG-42/orange Fiji wood/nickle silver - $84 - as a user. Yep, too pretty. Sadly, my son wasn't interested in another larger knife, like the 110s I had bought him, so my second BCCI knife, a bit more expensive, became my EDC. I should have ordered more CS 110s before they went up... heck, I should have ordered a CS 112!
