Sweet! Just placed my order at True North Knives. It should be here within a week!

Here is a pic that I have been drooling over for a little while (its actually my desktop background.. lol... :D)

very sexy... I saw a picture of one recently that a guy had polished, leaving the lines matte finish. I wouldn't, but it sure gave it a neat contrast.

Nice, good score, I almost bought that knife (or one like it) from True North a couple weeks ago, but decided I better hold off for a bit before taking the plunge.

Let us know how you like it.

This is a knife that I am interested in. I heard the swedge is sharpened? I'm guessing the flat spot on the back of the blade right near the tip is what people refer to? Is it actually fully sharpened, or just a false edge? And if it is sharpened, does it hang out the handle when closed?

I have heard that it is sharp, but not cutting edge sharp. AFAIK, the swedge is sharpened for use on a firesteel to avoid dulling the blade. Apparently a common complaint with the sebenza was the beveled spine (someone correct me if I am mistaken, I have never actually handled one) forced users to rely on the main cutting edge for fire steels. I think I heard this on one of the YouTube reviews but I cant quite remember. I cant vouch for the accuracy of this post, but to the best of my knowledge this is the case.

Congrats! The Umnum is a great knife. I've had my left hand one for a little over a month and I am very pleased with it. Neil has a left hand one on his website that is calling my name as a backup but I must resist. The swedge is semi sharp as the guide has pointed out. I think you will be very happy to get yours.:cool::D
