Specs
Handle- sand
Screws- black
Liner- black
Axis- black
Blade- D2
Blade shape- sheep foot serrated
Blade color- black (got my last name on the front of the blade)
And it the normal grip not the mini....
What do you guys think?
Also if you have custom ordered from them how long does it take to receive the knife?

Nice, im going to get a custom made in April (first Benchmade ever). I already have my options picked out.
Handle: Left-Green,Right:Sand
All hardware black
Black arrow clip
N680 Blade
Drop Point - Black
"RJS" on back of blade

I've heard it usually takes 3 weeks or so to get it. And I hope you enjoy your new Benchie. If you don't mind me asking, why did you choose sheepfoot blade, nothing against it, just wondering because i'm not familiar with sheepsfoot blades.

Tyronethepro- that sounds like a great combo you've picked!
I honestly picked it because, 1 I've never had or used one and 2 I like the belly a little better than the drop point. That's just a matter of personal preference though.
It my first benchmade also.

Sounds like you ordered a great knife! I've had quite a few griptilians pass through my hands, one of the few knives I've had multiple variations of. Be sure to post pics when you get it!

Sounds good, although I would have opted for a PE blade....

What options do you have for blade steel? I dont suppose CPM-M4 is on the list. :p

I wanted s30v but they didnt allow that with the colors I had picked.
So it was between d2 and 154cm. I picked d2 because I prefer edge retention over sharpness.....

I had almost the same knife as my first Benchmade...I had the Cabella's D2 special edition (which was promptly stolen lol)

The handles may feel a bit cheap, but the plastic is very durable. I've only had full size grips, but they fit my hand nicely and I wear a XL glove. D2 by Benchmade, imo does not disappoint, its very good stuff.

ibute21- yeah im not disappointed at all. I have a zero tolerance so im kinda used to s30v but ive relized that d2 is just as good maybe better IMO.
BTW thanks for the info on the handle

Congrats, I'm sure you'll love it. I'm waiting for Cuscadi to get some black and white Tiger Stripe G10 back in stock to make scales for my Mini Ritter Grip.

congrats on your first Benchmade. If i may make a suggestion, I've had both the standard benchmade clips and the arrow clips. No doubt about it, the arrow clip looks much better, but the retention on the pocket imo sucks. All the clip really does is prevent it from falling into your pocket, it doesn't keep it from falling out. However what the standard benchmade clip lacks in looks it makes up for in performance. If you don't want to lose your investment, id recomend switching the clip. If it helps the split arrow was on a mini grip and the pants i wore it with were cargo shorts and jeans. i found the retention to be inadaquite on all of them. Just my 2 cents. Other than than sounds like a nice knife.

Another option if you want is to order one of STR's titanium clips to complete the package.

I kind of want to get one of these, but it kind of sucks that the blade I want is only avaialble with the thumbhole and not thumbhole/thumbstud optional.
