Just ordered a Kershaw Thermite!

So I just got my Thermite in from Cabela's, and I can confirm that (at least on mine), the pocket clip screws cannot be moved. I have started stripping them already. I will send it back once I play with it for a day or two. Disappointing, but aside from that, the knife is really incredible for this price point.

I'll probably get one, but as I usually carry larger folding knives back right pocket (or tip down clipped inside my belt), tip down isn't a problem.
 
Well in spite of this one issue (which I'm sure was just one batch with the problem, I don't imagine this being a huge, ongoing problem), I would still highly recommend this knife. It feels easily like an $80+ knife. I am really loving it, again, aside from the pocket clip screw problem. I have emailed KAI about the issue, and I will post the response I get. I have no doubt that KAI will take care of it one way or another. This was not meant as a bash on the knife, because I really do think that it will be a major contender for highest value Kershaw blade to date.
 
My clip screws came out easy and I just used some cheapy torx bit.

Love the knife but I hate the scale. Why they put the weird design on it I don't understand????
 
I just got my Thermite today.
Very nice knife, the stonewash is great looking and the spine jimping is large and comfortable.

The scales are grippy enough and the design is no big deal to me.
It flips fast and lockup is solid, mine is hitting at 60%, which is nice.

If this was a total open frame design I would rate it a 10.
Aside from that it is a great value and another winner from Kershaw.
 
I too like my Thermite, but not the scale.
Of course I "needed" some Carbon Fiber.
But I was not happy with just replacing the G10 scale as I didn't save enough weight.
So, tonight I replaced both the scale and Liner with CF...
Now I like it, just need to polish it all up....

That is awesome!! I've thought about trying to at least skeletonize my liners. I wonder how much weight I could save doing that. If I do it, I'll post about it.
 
Just received my Thermite today. Ordered from Amazon. I have a lot of high dollar knives and I have to say for the price this knife is hard to beat. Very well put togather,great blade design and has a very nice balance. I am impressed. I will buy one with the Black blade also.
