Just ordered a ZT 0750 S30V Talon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had one on backorder for over 8 months at $104. I cancelled that order weeks ago for the reasons Thomas just gave. There is also a rumor that ZT prices will be higher when they do start producing them again.

I was told that I will pay the 104 even if the price goes up.

3 pages and no pictures.

WTH!?!?!

What is this mystery knife costing $99-$104 that is not being made?

:D

Yup...still no damn knife, those rat bastards story changed "OH THEY PUSH BACK THE EDT" "THE PLACE I'M GETTING THE KNIFE FROM"

I'm like whatever....at least my order is locked, and when ever it does show up I'll get one for 104 shipped.

Had a feeling that was going to happen buddy! I've been only waiting 5 months. Anybody had a preorder in since 2010? They weren't in the 2010 catalog but were at SHOT 2010, so I'm not sure when preorders were started on it.

I was hopeful for C.M.L.'s retailer's estimate when:
All 2011 items have shipped except for the 0777. The Cryo debut at SHOT in January. There are still a handful of new products from the 2012 catalog that have yet to be released. Most will be coming soon.
I guess the 0750 and 0780 are 2012 items. LOLZ I just watched the SHOT 2010 video and the 0750 and 0780 were going to be out by March...

Honestly, I'm ok with waiting with my full paid preorder as long as it is needed, if they aren't vaporware. It just concerns me that these are the redheaded stepchild models that never get into production due to more important knives. As long as they make it I'll buy it, the wait will be worth it!

Don't mind waiting...am broke, but I have 5 bills waiting on my 590A1 model51663 waiting for that to come in also. :grumpy:

So the 0750 has not been made yet? But is still going to be made? Wasn't it a 2011 model??

I think its weird that the Talon II is discontinued and the 0750 is still yet not completed.

Correct me if I am wrong. I am thinking of letting my Talon II go and just hope to get a 0750 at some point, I think its worth the extra money for sure.

This is just me....but why get rid of your Talon II? It's like guns.....I'll never get rid of another one again. I'm keeping mine for sure even when I get the 750.

I got it for the throwback nostalgia, never had a original Talon. I like it, ya its discontinued and I got mine for a great deal, but I have never used it and don't think I ever will. Id be more likely to use the longer better steel 0750 version, or maybe get an original Talon.

I have quite a few knives in Sandvick, so I am only worried about having a similar design, ala Talon or 0750.

The Talon II kinda reminds me of the Skyline, like maybe the same designer?

My only fault about the Talon II is that my blade is almost straight like a warncliff rather than a hawkbill. The reverse handle shape and the blade make it great for pull cutting, like P'Kal style fighting. I just want more of a hawkbill not an almost straight edge.

I love that the liners are somewhat skeletonized.

Personal preference: I like stop pins rather than using the thumb stud as a stop against the frame.

Not gonna use mine..."being they ain't making them anymore" but a friend that got me started on kershaw carries his everyday and he never has any problems, that's the knife that got me started...:D

The Scallion is what got me hooked. A Blue (Sears) Craftsman version I got from (hold on) my sister's ex-boyfriend, who's mom took it from his sister, who got it from her friend, whose boyfriend gave it to her. I was there when it changed hands the second time, and it made its way back to me. It was my first assisted opening knife. The Mini Mojito shortly followed (another all time fav).

I know I should hold onto it for a rainy day so I don't kick myself later, but I have a limited space for knives. I do need a good hawkbill, but my Talon II is kinda just holding the place. I wish it had a bigger arch and some serrations.

I really like the reverse curve of the grip, its a pretty cool idea and works well for pull cuts, it has its purpose.

Wooo! Happy Memorial Day weekend all! The Kershaw Store sent me an email yesterday that these were in stock. Just ordered one. Hopefully it wasn't an error :)

I would have been one of the people to tell you "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" but in this case I was wrong. A small ZT but an awesome one nonetheless, and look at those beefy liners!
