Just Ordered The BK-9

You will experience ultimate bliss with the BK9. I have been using Finnish Leukus for years and really appreciate their work ethic. But the "9" is so much more at home in the hardwoods of the US of A. My first day with mine I felled several 4" thick locust saplings and numerous woodies cloging up an open area of my woods. The next day it eliminated large mature grapevines which were damaging the canopies of my hedge, elm and wild cherry trees. I then stuck it my my left hand...can you say lots-o-blood. Yes, the BK9 is adaptable and worthy worker. It will cut hardwoods (within reason), softwoods and skin and other tissue. I love it and scars and stiches!

Can't wait to get it, and head out into the woods for it's initiation.

Glad to see you pulled the trigger on that 9 The Warrior. You'll love it. Looking forward to the pics. Congrats!

Thanks, appreciated. When I get it in, I think the son and I will out and see what she'll do. Will take lotsa photos.

The 9 is great! I have hardly used it but i can tell you that it can chop with precision. In carving my atlatl I used it to clear out some of the bulk of wood to remove. It is easy to feel how hard of a swing it takes to get a certain depth of cut. Also if you chop with the part of the blade closest to the handle the length/mass of the blade allows you to feel when you've buried the blade squarely. You'll love it!

Just got the shipping confirmation. This bad boy should be here in a few days. Can't wait to go chop with it.

Supposed to get it by Wednesday. It can't get here soon enough, I'll tell you that.

I'll take plenty, when I take it out and initiate it. Can't wait.

Hey Warrior....

Thanks for all your support....I think you will really like your "Nine" ....Take both the belt axe and "Nine" out together and do some comparisons....(post pics, please)....The knife is more versatile IMHO but, I think you will find the belt axe to chop better, depending on which one you have....Judicious use of a stout club (the french word is baton) obviates a lot of the need for a little axe......It is damn hard to whittle conveniently with an axe although it can be done.....Should be fun doing the comparisons......

All Best...

You're very welcome. I will take them both out and take some photos. The hatchet is decent, but it is light. The 9 will def do more things than a hatchet. Take my son with me. He just bought a 2 the other day. He loves it.
