Hey, new to forum and new to CRK's. I'm relatively new to knives, with owning only 1 Benchmade and 3 Spydies. After reading and learning about CRK's from this forum and watching YouTube vids, I figure I better try one for myself.

I went to a local dealer, and held Sebenza's large and small, but decided on the Umnumzaan...but that is what I went there for anyway.

Definitly, the CRK's were the smoothest framelocks in the store (but they don't carry Strider).

Between the Sebenza and the Umnumzaan, the lock disengaged more smoothly on the Zaan, due to the forward and side facing ball bearing. I also like the swedges and harpoon tip of the Zaan.

Congrats on your Umnumzaan. I hope you love it as much as I love mine. It finds it way into my pocket more than just about any other knife I currently own.

thanks.

probably preaching to the choir, but holding the CRK's for the first time, the quality is noticeable and the tolerances were awesome, especially in a store environment where there were other brands to compare. Every single CRK had nicely centered blades!

One "brand" had quite a bit of blade play in several of their knives, and another "brand" had the blade hit/scrape the side scale when you close it, and that was on two examples, too.
But the spyderco's were consistantly good, too.

I'm in the same boat as you my friend...I can't wait!!!

Great Purchase.......I wanna get a umnumzaan so bad. As soon as I sell my strider and mnandi, I am gonna get one, that way I have my knife and my wife has her ceramic floor.....lol. Let me know what you guys think of the umnumzaan and the more pics the better !!!

I think as soon as I get the Umnum, I'm gonna hit it with the scotch brite. I have scrubbed my othe CRKs and they turned out perfect. That's such a nice finish!
